For some reason, it seems difficult to keep there flowers alive. Last year, we were not successful and I may attribute such a failure to the plants getting too much heat from the concrete of our garage. Then there's the seeming sensitivity of the red leaves to water... it seems that for these to thrive, they have to be in a cold, yet sunny place.
So I'm testing out my theories when I can - giving instructions to ate regarding how to handle them. Hopefully, they will thrive this time, and we won't be too disappointed with unsuccessfully growing them and making them last the entire Christmas season.
