Elevator lobby decor:
Once again, it's the Summit Circle for us - and this particular ornamental flower caught my eye, so naturally, I took some pictures. I tried taking it with the use of a flash, then without. Naturally, the shot without the flash - using any available ambient light in the room, brought out the colors of the decor in a more dramatic manner.
As the background was made of un-smoothened marble, the lights and shadows also allowed for a more dramatic play. I just did not want the wooden frame's intrusion into the picture, but I did not want to touch anything... though in retrospect, it might have been easy to just move the decor and move it back after the shot. I guess, I did not want to impose in any way... evne if such imposition is not bothersome to anyone.
This picture just wanted to have the decor as highlight, and it's colors when taken in a non-flash manner, makes the decor seem lively - almost like it's in flames. The decor, as you can see, is that of a flower, and it can be a definite reminder of my stay here in Summit Circle. One other thing that I might as well say - I've been placed in a 'smoking' floor - and though I'm not a smoker (and can smell the residue smoke in this corridor's walls), it's not a total bother for me - after all, it's just the smell.. and not really the smoke. Nothing that Lysol won't fix.
