Yes, I could have just as easily bought these yesterday together with the other two books I got - but I did not. Is it because I have this psychological spending barrier... the need to stretch my budget? Maybe... Is it because I thought that getting them would be a bit too heavy to lug around? That too, can be an answer... I mean these hard bounds can be rather heavy.
But no... the real reason is that these two came from another Book Sale branch - you see, Greenhills has two of them in separate buildings... not complaining, mind you, it's just that when I saw the 50th edition, and in relatively great condition Lord of the Rings, I had to have it. This despite my having have read the book thrice... in the past three decades. This edition is well created... a welcome quality tome into my collection. As for the Balder... well, I did loosely follow Simonson's Thor - and this can help me when my geek collector's historical appetite, since I had not read Balder's mini series when it first came out. So there you go...
