Once in a while, when I look at the display window of Book Sale - a 2nd hand bookstore, I catch a glimpse of books that I would possibly think twice about purchasing, specially with their original price tag. But with Book Sale, I see copies... not exactly in pristine condition... perhaps slightly used, or probably just considered as overrun orders, mostly being sold at half their original price... well, let's just say, I don't have to think twice about getting them.
These two, in particular... specially the Gnomes book, are nice acquisitions. One tickles my fancy... the other is eye candy, plus... ahem, reference material in considering how to take better pictures. No... it's true - even if it does not specify any technical aspects, I still study the pictures to see if I can get ideas, to consider how I can recreate such a shot. It makes me think, and in that thinking, learn.
