This little critter can be found in a cage outside a pet grooming shop in Tiendesitas - that is, unless it was already bought by someone. Not that I forsee anyone getting said tortoise as it's already rather big (and most possibly expensive).
So what am I doing here? Having Bubbles' fur shaved off, is what. After all, she's been shedding a lot - and Barbie's just too fed up with all the flying loose fur at home. But there is also another reason. Bubbles has some kind of skin allergy and I can imagine how itchy that can be for her - hence her constant scratching and in the process, wounding herself - I was sort of looking for the 'cone of shame' for her, but as luck would have it, I could find none in the different stores (believe it or not). Anyway, while she was getting her fur razor shaved and cut (we just left the fur on her head and portions of her neck, plus a puff of fur at her tail's end), I was taking shots of different animals. This happens to be a favorite of mine... a macro shot of the tortoise's head.
