This evening, my family and I were guests of John in his birthday celebration held at his place - and catered by the Manila Polo Club (which sort of sets the idea of how good the food was).
John invited his closest friends - and that came out to around 20 people (at least - maybe even 30), and he was the genial host, transferring from table to table - making sure we were all having a good time. I apparently became the official photographer of the evening - though there were others with cameras as well, so I need not have worried too much about not being able to capture everything, Still, it was nice practice - too bad one of my lenses does not focus automatically, and I was still getting a hang of my external flash.
