When I left for Cebu, I had finished setting up the lights to the tree... this with the understanding the Barbie would continue where I left off, and do the decorating with our available decors (some which we've had for years), and I was unsure if she would get more decors - though I had thought it possible since one of her observations would be that the tree was tall and needed more decors.
To my surprise, she did not get any new decor... but recycled old ones (like the elves - which I retired from placing on the tree last year). Well it still looks a tad lacking, but when the lights are on... coupled with the decors, this tree is a great focal point in our living area.
Personally, I don;t mind. It means our tree is presentable enough as it is. The decors look lacking as we strive to place them on the tree (with good reason... it is an 8ft tree after all). But we can make work arounds that will make such lacking (if it really is lacking) not too obvious. Ah well... time to bring out the music, once again. Time to capture the spirit of Christmas. Ho ho ho ho ho!
