First Book for 2013:
Since 2013 is supposedly a good start, I'd like to extend the feeling and the idea that this year is one where I can make some major changes to my life. I'm hoping that this book by Regina Brett can convince me how to do something awesome this year.
I was curious to read this on the strength of her first book that had to do with tips (or wisdom) from a 50 year old. Well, since I'm in that demographic, I wanted to see what she had to say - but this time, in a 'moving forward' perspective.
Why choose this book? I don't know... maybe subliminally, I need to jump start my career, which has been on some form of dead end for the past years. I mean, teaching/training is supposedly a noble thing - but unfortunately, this isn't getting me enough by way of being able to live comfortably and pay for the needed tuition for my kids. In other words, I'm ready to try something new... something different.
I need to get into something more rewarding, that's for sure... but rewarding, not just in a monetary sense, though that is a need... but rewarding as well that likewise means fulfilling, something that can make me feel proud of how I'm helping make the world a better place to be in.
So here's crossing my fingers.
