Used to be, we (as in our family) would make the trip to Cuenca before Christmas to deliver our gifts... or, right after Christmas just for the same thing. But right after these dates comes a date that we usually miss out on because of its close proximity to the days we visit.
Miguel's birthday is today, and last year, we did attend his birthday - and so we did the same thing this year. I mean, sure... we delay delivering and getting gifts from each other for a few days, but we get to enjoy celebrating Migs birthday with the rest of the family. This year was also a very hectic week with regard to activities and recovery from sickness, so this was also the most convenient date and reason to go to Cuenca.
Picture shows Migs with the family dog Pepper playing in the field. I was hoping for a more action-oriented shot, but I just did not get the right angles. Oh well... this one reflect the playful mode of Pepper anyway.
