This is probably the last of the reunions for this year - well, until someone comes up with a reason for getting together again, but jokes aside... real soon, some of these people will be returning to the Western hemisphere of the globe, so getting together like this may be a challenge at some future dates.
These people are basically my uncles and aunts (plus my dad) - all from the Velez side of the family... including their better halves (husbands or wives). I can imagine how they may be feeling, at my age, I sometimes wonder how long I have in this world... and do want to spend time with friends and family as much as I can. Family is also community, and I wouldn't want my kids to be isolated, so they should be able to meet their cousins - be they 2nd degree or even 3rd degree.
Hence, reunions like these are few and far between at times - but at least, they're the type that aren't because of someone's passing. That said, I'm not complaining.
