This is a New Year tradition that Barbie and I are trying to implement. Using the goblets that Tito Joe gave us as a wedding gift, we would then toast the year that was... counting our blessings, giving thanks for our health and opportunities.
After reflecting and giving thanks, we then toast to what we hope the year can give us. Naturally, in doing this, we could drink a good bottle of wine (or two - if the toasting is really plenty), but for the New Year, white bubbly champagne seems to better fit the bill, and we both love Asti Martini for this. So naturally, as early as November, I made sure we had more than a bottle of Asti for us to enjoy. I will definitely look forward to toasting this new year.
