Lunch with Dennies:
Meeting Dennies hardly happens these days... after all, with him permanently based in Cebu these days, it's not as if we can just decide to meet when we think about it. For these things to happen these days, Dennies would either have to be in Manila and hope we're free to meet him (like the last time), or I would be in Cebu and he'd have to find some free time to meet me.
Well this particular lunchtime, he did make time. We met at the Mooon (yes, that's three 'o's) and had some Mexican inspired food. We talked a bit and caught up with each other's family and career, plus talked about common friends.
I must say that Dennies looked great. Thinner than I last saw him - and I guess, it's because he is really working hard with Ayala Land. Hearing him talk reminded me of just how much of a gung ho person Dennies was even during the days were were both active in Toastmaster. It was fun hanging around with the guy... even if only for lunch, as I had to return to my training for the afternoon, and my flight back to Manila would be this evening. Maybe next time he is in Manila... or when I'm in Cebu again, we could catch up some more. Meanwhile, thanks for the lunch treat Dennies.
