Asparagus:

Another one of Barbie's idea for healthy living (and mine as well) is the cooking of Asparagus - again we either steam it or fry it... heck if we really want to enjoy it's taste, we even fry it in butter and lots of garlic (as shown in this picture).

Aside from broccoli, this is another vegetable that the kids like, so we try to buy this when we can (in the weekend market) and have a healthy dinner with this. I mean, I can have this for dinner served with the usual brown rice and that would be it... I'd end up satisfied. One thing stopping us from totally pigging out with these (and it is, technically, a healthy pig-out) is the fact that these can be high in the cause of uric-acid - not that it is a current problem of mine, but I should be watching out for this as well.

I guess anything in excess is bad, huh? Even if they taste so good... and to me, asparagus does taste good.
