Saturday lunchtime found Barbie and me in Manila Memorial, to meet her mom, bothers and sister as for a mini reunion at the place where Barbie's dad was buried.
It's a nice picture... and a reunion that was not almost done as Barbie woke up this morning with an allergy attack. Yup, we were in Cardinal Santos this morning, having her treated for her allergies. The doctor gave her medicine and prescribed rest.
We had informed Benedict that we would not be able to join them, but when I noticed that Barbie was recovered - albeit due to the meds given her, I asked her if she still wanted to go. I was willing to drive her there so she could experience this get together. Had she shown some signs of recurring allergy attacks, I would have insisted we go home.
So why did I agree - even ask her if she wanted to go? Her sister is here on vacation - they hardly see each other on a regular basis (not counting Skype of course), so I'm sure she wants to experience this as much as possible. I'm not one to deny her this... and looking at this picture, you can see how happy she is. I'd say I did right.
