Coffee:
It's no secret that whenever I find myself at Figaro's, I order their Barako Blend coffee - after all, I do like Barako coffee... a type of coffee grown locally back in Batangas.
Aside from being patriotic about it, I really feel that the Barako coffee is a great tasting blend. It's therefore ironic that Figaro seems to be the only well known coffee franchise offering this kind of coffee in their menu. In fact, they have two variants - the Barako blend, which is basically Barako with a mix of other coffee, and the Barako Gold, whihc they used to sell as well... but now, they only sell it as ground coffee (which I buy once in a while too).
I really wish they other coffee places would likewise carry Barako coffee - then again, there is nothing like taking Barako coffee at Cuenca, Batangas. In fact, I still have some at home. Ironically, when I got the Barako, that became the time Barbie switched to decaf. Oh well...
