The first cover we got was handy, and it had a useful feature of helping the iPad close (or sleep) when the cover was closed on top of the monitor. Unfortunately, the cover's hinges - which were magnetically attached, were not that sturdy, so after a mere couple of months, the cover was close to breaking up, so it was definitely time to change said cover.
Barbie came up with the idea that the next cover we got should allow us to read the iPad in it's vertical position, while in hands-free mode (the old one only allowed for a horizontal hands-free reading)... and that exactly is what we got. One of the capabilities of this new cover, aside from being a great protective casing - complete with a garter to keep the cover closed (a technique that is similar to some notebooks).
Though I would have wanted a different color, brown was the 'most acceptable' one for me. So there I have it. New cover, and the iPad looks spiffy. I took this picture while having breakfast in Starbucks, CG2, prior to my Retailing class which starts today and ends tomorrow (Friday).
