Consider this my next venture in how to improve my pictures. It's been something that Jojo B. has been telling me to do, and until I get to buy myself a flash (or get one as a gift - hint, hint), I won't be able to practice the darn lighting thing.
Ah, and here comes the 'but'... nothing is stopping me from learning about it by way of reading books (like this one I just bought) or by viewing possible lessons in Strobist or Youtube.
Of course, one other reason I buy the book is because it allows me a leisurely pace and time to cover the lessons - and I also get to admire the pictures. This one on the cover... when you think about it, looks decidedly simple, until you read how they do it - and why they did. So yeah... now that I know, I'll need at least four flashes... a spotlight, a drop dead model - and oh yeah... let's not forget the plane.
