Colleagues:
We're in Fish and Co.; an eating place within Greenbelt 3 for a free lunch and meeting with Malou, in line with how Accenture's recent actions have adversely affected us - so yeah, it's a nice thing to know that despite all that's happening we can still smile... and I wished there was a better reason for the gathering.
Still, it's because of the company that we can still smile. After all, aside from being just plain colleagues - we are friends. This situation is - hopefully temporary, and I do hope Accenture gets it's act together real soon, but yeah... I'm tired of getting the short end of the stick for others gross negligence or poor plans. Much as I like training and the company I keep, this is a simple but clear message. I need to find a way out and make my own path. My friends will always be there... but I don't really care for helping a company that does not value training so much.
People who say training isn't a priority are always looking at short term fixes... never long term solutions - and we will always have this problem, as long as people think short term. It's ironic, because the people in this picture are great at what they do (yes, with all humility aside, myself included). There are others who are not in the picture, but who I can likewise consider to be part of said great resources.
So yeah, we'll smile... because it takes more effort to frown.
